We like to keep things simple at Yorkshire Printing, so please find below our concise Terms of Business.
We believe in good, honest quality print, delivered on time where possible, and at a fair price.

All correspondence, invoices and documentation will be headed with our branding: Yorkshire Printing.

Outbound Orders
All print orders leaving Yorkshire Printing are supplied under plain wrap unless otherwise agreed. Where requested, orders may be supplied on a white-label basis with no reference to their origination.
Making an Order
We gratefully receive orders via our website:
www.yorkshireprinting.co.uk
By placing an order through our website and making payment, you are agreeing to these terms.
In some instances, an order may be generated offline, with an invoice and payment requested by email. By placing an order in this way and making payment, you are also agreeing to these terms.
Payment
Payment can be made by direct bank transfer into our account.
Payment may also be made via our website or through an online payment link using a debit card or credit card.
Payments may be securely processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, Worldpay or other approved payment processors.
Payment Charges
Bank transfers incur no extra charge.
Debit card and credit card payments made through our website or online payment link usually incur no extra charge unless otherwise stated at the time of payment.
Yorkshire Printing does not offer credit terms unless agreed in writing in advance.
We are strictly pro forma based, and all orders are processed for payment at the time of order.
Printing will not begin until payment has been received.
Failure to make payment on time may delay the progression of your order.
To meet your stated turnaround, payment and approved artwork must be received by the cut-off time stated on our website or quotation.
Turnaround and Delivery Expectations
Your printed materials will be dispatched for delivery based on the quoted turnaround times shown on our website or provided in writing.
We may offer standard, express or urgent production services depending on the product and availability.
Yorkshire Printing will use all reasonable efforts to complete and dispatch work on time. However, any production, dispatch or delivery date given is an estimate only.
No liability is accepted for any loss, cost or inconvenience arising from delay in production, dispatch or delivery.
Yorkshire Printing may use trusted third-party couriers to deliver orders locally or nationally.
No liability will be accepted by Yorkshire Printing for late delivery of an order as a result of a third-party courier service.
Print Quality and Reproduction
Slight colour variations are inherent within the printing process.
You accept that computer screens, tablets, mobile phones, software and hardware settings can display colours differently. We cannot guarantee that printed colours will exactly match those displayed on your screen.
Due to the nature of the printing process, we cannot guarantee an exact colour or texture match between printed results, proofs, reprints, previously printed items, samples, or copies supplied by us or by a third party.
Due to ink tolerances involved in the four-colour printing process, slight variance in finished printed colour is inevitable.
Pantone spot colour matches cannot be produced using standard four-colour CMYK printing.
Pantone colours may be converted to CMYK unless a specific Pantone printing process has been quoted and agreed. Please request a proof if you need clarification.
Proofing and Artwork
Where a proof is supplied, the proof file we supply back will normally be the file we use to print your order.
Our proofing or pre-press process may:
Convert fonts to paths, curves or outlines.
Convert Pantone colours to the nearest CMYK match.
Convert RGB images or objects to CMYK.
Flatten transparency where required.
Downsize any image above 450DPI to 450DPI.
When you approve a supplied proof, you are confirming that you have checked and accepted the file for print.
Yorkshire Printing does not offer a spelling, grammar or content-checking service unless specifically agreed in writing.
It is your responsibility to ensure all artwork, spelling, contact details, images, layout, quantities and specifications are correct before approval.
Paper Quality
Yorkshire Printing cannot guarantee that paper or card stock will exactly match previous orders, samples or materials supplied in the past.
We may use paper and card sourced from different mills, merchants and suppliers. As a result, paper may vary slightly in smoothness, roughness, colour, grain, thickness and weight.
Finishing
Yorkshire Printing uses professional machinery and skilled staff for production and finishing. However, there must be reasonable tolerance for cutting, folding, trimming, creasing, binding and booklet making.
Minor movement or variation during finishing is considered normal within the printing process.
Damages and Shortages
If an order arrives damaged or short on quantity, Yorkshire Printing will investigate with the courier or delivery supplier and will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
No liability will be accepted by Yorkshire Printing for damage, delay or shortage caused by a third-party courier service, although we will assist where reasonably possible.
Boxes received damaged by courier should be noted on the courier’s delivery record where possible.
Yorkshire Printing must be informed of damaged or missing items within 2 hours of delivery, so that we can raise the matter with the courier.
We may require photographs of damaged packaging, damaged goods and delivery labels to validate a claim.
Quotes, Estimates and Price Matching
Any quote supplied by Yorkshire Printing is valid for 28 days only, unless otherwise stated.
After this time, the order may need to be re-quoted.
Only a quote supplied in writing by email or through our website will be honoured by Yorkshire Printing.
Yorkshire Printing will not honour any quote or estimate given verbally unless confirmed in writing.
Yorkshire Printing does not offer a price match service unless agreed in writing.
Cancellations
Once your proof has been approved and payment has been made, there may be only a very short window in which to amend or cancel an order.
Cancellation will be considered on a job-by-job basis.
If production has not started, plates have not been made, materials have not been allocated and the job has not entered production, we may be able to cancel or amend the order.
If production has started, materials have been allocated, plates have been made, or a production slot has been assigned, the order may not be cancellable.
If an order can be cancelled, you may be able to supply new artwork or claim a credit note for a future order.
If an order cannot be cancelled:
There will be no option to supply new artwork.
No credit note will be given.
No part credit note will be offered.
No discount in kind will be offered.
No full or part discount will be offered towards any future order.
Risk
Once your order has been dispatched, Yorkshire Printing accepts no responsibility for any injury, harm, damage, misuse or loss resulting from the use of a product supplied to you or your client, except where required by law.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any printed materials are suitable, accurate, lawful and safe for their intended use.
Complaints
Yorkshire Printing is a reasonable and responsible supplier and takes the quality of its work seriously.
Should you have a complaint regarding an order supplied by Yorkshire Printing, please make us aware in writing within 72 hours of receiving your order.
To validate your claim, we may require images, samples or the return of the faulty products.
If you continue to use or distribute the order while we validate your complaint, Yorkshire Printing may only credit, replace or reprint the remaining unused part of the order.
Where a complaint is found to be valid, we may offer one of the following at our discretion:
A full credit note and collection of the original order.
A part credit note and part collection of the original order.
A full or partial reprint.
Another reasonable resolution agreed in writing.
Yorkshire Printing will require reasonable time to investigate and validate your complaint.
Following validation of your complaint, Yorkshire Printing will require further time to print, part-print, replace or issue a credit note.
Force Majeure
Yorkshire Printing shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Fire, flood, storm or extreme weather.
Power failure or machinery breakdown.
Industrial action or labour shortages.
Supplier delays or stock shortages.
Courier disruption or transport delays.
Illness, pandemic or public health restrictions.

Any other event outside our reasonable control.
Where such an event occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise delay and complete your order as soon as practically possible.
Customer-Supplied Content
You are responsible for ensuring that all artwork, text, images, logos, designs and other content supplied to Yorkshire Printing are lawful and do not infringe the rights of any third party.
By supplying artwork or content to us, you confirm that you have the right to use it for print and production.
Yorkshire Printing reserves the right to refuse to print any material that we consider unlawful, offensive, defamatory, misleading or otherwise inappropriate.
Limitation of Liability
Yorkshire Printing’s liability for any order shall be limited to the value of the order placed.
We shall not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, reputational damage or consequential loss arising from any order, delay, error or defect.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Updates and Variation
Yorkshire Printing reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions from time to time.
